The name of a mathematical symbol or function, e.g. <code>f</code> or <code>x_n</code>.
 
Symbols can have subscripts, which follow the usual Office Math syntax.
 
Symbols can be preceded by attributes. These will become a part of the symbol name. In other words, <code>x</code> and <code>tilde x</code> will be treated as two completely different variables.
 
The following attributes are recognized by iMath:
* acute, grave, check, breve, circle
* vec, tilde, hat, bar, dot, ddot, dddot
* widevec, widetilde, widehat
* overline, underline, overstrike
* bold, ital
* font sans, font serif, font fixed
* color black, color blue, color green, color red, color cyan, color magenta, color yellow, color teal, color silver, color gray, color maroon, color purple, color lime, color olive, color navy, color aqua, color fuchsia
* phantom
 
Multi-word attributes, like <code>color green</code> must contain exactly one space between the words.
